Answer
False
Explanation
The statement is false. A knowledge society is one which utilizes knowledge to generate and apply new ideas. This does not mean a switch from knowledge-based work to manual labor quite the reverse, it is manual work being lifted up into, and reorganized around, operations which require steep understanding. In other words, the basis of production in a knowledge society is the exploitation of non physical resources, intellectual abilities instead of physical handlooming.
