Explain

The pH scale is used to specify how acidic or basic a water-based solution is. On this scale, lower values represent higher acidity. Because stomach acid is highly acidic, its pH value usually lives between 1.5 and 3.5, often around 2. Because the original problem requires an answer to be given as a whole number, for our purposes we will round to the nearest whole number. In this case therefore, the stomach pH is expected to round-off to 2.
