Answer

Strong

Explain

In an ionic compound, atoms are bonded together by ionic bonds. Ionic bonds are formed through the electrostatic attraction between oppositely charged ions, which are produced when an atom (usually a metal) donates one or more electrons to another atom (usually a nonmetal). This bonding represents one of the strongest forces of attraction that exist in nature, holding the ions together in a very ordered and rigid structure such as a crystal lattice. The strength of these forces gives ionic compounds their typical characteristics, such as high melting and boiling points.
