Solution:<br /><br />a) \(6+\frac{1}{5} \) = \( \frac{30}{5}+\frac{1}{5} \) = \(\frac{31}{5}\)<br /> <br />So, the solution to part a) is \(\frac{31}{5}\), or when expressed as a decimal, this is 6.2.<br /><br />b) \(2+\frac{1}{10} \) = \( \frac{20}{10}!\frac{1}{10} \) = \(\frac{21}{10}\)<br /><br />So, the solution for part b) is \(\frac{21}{10}\), or expressed as a decimal, this is 2.1.
